Having worked intimately on 3 churches myself, I appreciate this one tremendously. It's difficult to get the full feeling of the building and even the nave (as shown), but there are some great details and qualities that clearly exemplify the design. The ecunemical aspect is critical because first and foremost the parrish's needs and the ceremonial traditions (the liturgy) can never be belittled or overwhelmed, and the universality of such a Church only makes it more challenging to get it right. They balanced it perfectly and my favorite is the calming richness of the light playing off of the natural materials. Obviously I can't experience the sound quality but with technology these days it can be "tweeked" to near perfection so I imagine myself in the space and from what little I understand it already emotes a great space. It is certainly deserved of its awards and much more...the fondness of its parrish which I am sure is absolute. Well done!
My 2 cents. How'd I do?
