This was an interesting design and it was good to see the attention paid to materials, air quality and energy conservation. I also liked the "family group" concept.

I am left with a couple of questions, though:

1. Mention was made of what sounded like SIPs panels, but without detail...I've had several less than positive experiences with these...condensation at seams on the inside, if solid splines were employed, and out-gassing effects on occupants, resulting in headaches and other imune illnesses...depending on composition...would have liked to hear more on designer reseach in selecting panels without these problems, if such was done.

2. The plan suggests to me (with it's tapered hallways) the possibility that subtle psychological manipulation was being employed to subconsiously discourage the memory-impared from tending to try to leave the "apartments", fish-trap style. It would have been interesting to hear if this was so, and the design thoughts that lead to this, or if it was just done "for design"...

3. With regard to air quality, I note large plants as part of the decor...these would, I presume provide both a psychological and air-filtering value...were plant walls considered, that could also have had sufficient air-quality impact to reduce needed air-changes and thus further reduced make-up air heating costs? And were issues of using non-toxic plants an issue given consideration...those lacking clear thinking processes might ingest leaves, berries, etc... : )
