| Whatever you guys think of Botta's aesthetic presentation, the combination of how he describes his methodology, intent and what he achieves in practice signals to me that this is a real artist at work. I mean, there's been long, dubious discussion in other threads about whether or not there is legitimately Art in Architecture and much further problematic raised about definitions. Botta is my definition of Art in Architecture. This is to do with his breadth of scope, his commited discipline in intangibles and the business and technical craft of realization. |
